Other Relationship Information about Kim Mathers and Eminem:
In the song "Kim" (from The Marshall Mathers LP), Eminem fantasizes about killing Kim in an extremely graphic situation. Eminem verbally abused Kim on this track (Kim's voice is also played by Eminem on the track) for getting into a relationship with someone else; it ends with the sound of her throat being cut while Eminem shouts, "Bleed, b*tch, bleed! Bleeeed!!!" The track was framed by Eminem as a prequel to the comparatively less intense track 97' Bonnie & Clyde, a parody of Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton's Just the Two of Us on Eminem's The Slim Shady LP, in which he disposes of Kim's body while his daughter Hailie rides in the car. Kim saw Eminem perform this show live in Detroit, with a mock-up doll of her being abused by Mathers on stage to audience approval. This was a recurring part of Mathers's performance in the Up in Smoke tour. Following this concert, on July 7, 2000, Kim attempted suicide by cutting her wrists.
Kim and Eminem are also guardians to Alaina Marie Scott, born on May 3, 1993, the daughter of Kim's sister.
Classic Quotes by Kim Mathers and Eminem about their relationship:
"Me and Kim, we been through our dramas and sh*t, but I'd be bald-faced lying if I said I don't love her or I'm with her because of my daughter. I'm with her 'cause I wanna be with her. I love that girl, man. I really do." Eminem 2000
"I met her the day she got out of the youth home. I was at a friend's house, and his sister was friends with her, but she hadn't seen Kim in a while 'cause she was in the youth home. And I'm standing on the table with my shirt off, on top of their coffee table with a Kangol on, mocking the words to LL Cool J's "I'm Bad." And I turn around and she's at the door. Her friend hands her a cigarette. She's thirteen, she's taller than me, and she didn't look that young. She easily coulda been mistaken for sixteen, seventeen. I said to my friend's sister, "Yo, who was that? She's kinda hot." And the saga began. Now there's the constant struggle of "will I ever meet somebody else that's gonna be real with me, as real as I can say she's been with me?" Eminem 2004
"When Kim first heard "97 Bonnie and Clyde," she said 'You're an *sshole...blah blah blah...but when she heard the song "Kim," it's funny because I will always remember this. We were sitting in the car. I looked at her and I said 'Well, do you have anything to say?' She looked over at me and said 'You're crazy, seriously...you're f*ckin' crazy!'" Eminem 2001
"If he got kicked out, then I would walk the streets with him until he found a place to live, or if I got kicked out, he was always there for me. It was just a close connection." Kim Mathers 2007
"Our [first] marriage failed because I was unfaithful and he was unfaithful. It's just... at that point of time we really didn't have anything in common. He went one way and I went on different way." Kim Mathers 2007
