FAMOUS HOOKUPS ANNOUNCES NOMINEES
FOR 2008 "CUPIDS AND CURBIES" AWARDS

Minneapolis, MN (February 9, 2009) - Today the celebrity information website, Famous Hookups (www.FamousHookups.com), announced its nominees for the 2008 "Cupids & Curbies" Awards©. Hailed as the "Oscars® of Celebrity Relationships" the Cupids & Curbies (as in "Kicked to the curb") are held each year to honor various celebrities in 10 celebrity relationship categories including "Craziest Celebrity Hookup", "Hottest Celebrity Newlyweds", and "Nastiest Celebrity Divorce". The winners of the annual Cupids & Curbies Awards will be announced on Friday, February 27, 2008.

     The Cupids & Curbies Awards differ from other celebrity awards in that winners are picked by the celebrities’ fans and the general public rather than industry insiders or media outlets. "Everyone can vote for the Cupids & Curbies - even celebrities themselves" said Seymour Starz, spokesperson for Famous Hookups, "and it doesn’t matter if you run a popular fan website or just read the tabloids in the supermarket checkout line - all votes are equal."

     This year’s awards feature famous people from politics, music, and film industries - some of which are nominated for multiple categories. Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are nominated in two categories - "Most Surprising Celebrity Engagement" and "Hottest Celebrity Newlyweds". Jessica Alba and Warren Cash lead the list of nominees by apearing in three categories - "Hottest Celebrity Newlyweds", "Sexiest New Celebrity Parents", as well as "Craziest Celebrity Kid’s Name" (for naming their daughter ’Honor Marie’).
